News:
For a second year Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has won a Relly Award courtesy of the Live with Regis & Kelly show in the US. Daniel accepted the Best Junior Achiever award in a taped message from the set of Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire, where he was preparing to film a scene fighting a dragon.
This is what Daniel had to say about winning the award:
"What can I say. Thank you very, very much indeed. It's an honor to have won a golden stool
for the second year running. I'm very sorry that I can't actually be with you guys at the moment, but I'm actually about to
fight a dragon, as of course, we are filming The Goblet of Fire. So, yes, fantastic and I can't wait to see you again
next year!."

Casting for 'Order of the Phoenix' not happening soon
According to Warner Bros. casting for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will
not take place anytime soon. Since production has recently started on Goblet of Fire the film's producers are urging
people not to write in to try to apply for any parts since they don’t have a script, a director, a start date or casting
director.
A spokesperson told CBBC Newsround :
"We've only just started production on the fourth film. As for the next movie, it's far too
early to think about casting. We don't have a script, director, start date or casting director and no one will be considered
for any role until all these are in place. We don't want children to be disappointed, so we're asking them not to write into
the studios. It would be a waste of their time."
Current filming of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire should be ending early next year.
Patil, Delacour sisters cast in 'Goblet'
CBBC Newsround announced today that Harry's and Ron's dates for the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire have been cast.
Shefali Chowdhury will play Parvati Patil, and Afshan Azad will portray her sister Padma. Fleur Delacour's younger
sister Gabrielle will be played by Angelica Mandy (Vanity Fair).
Scouts began looking for the girls, who needed to be of Asian descent, in December 2003 by going around to British schools.
Crabbe actor: Yule Ball is in, Dracula out
In a recent interview with Jamie Waylett [Vincent Crabbe] he let slip a few details about the upcoming Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire film. Here are two excerpts from the interview:
What has been the most memorable scene that you have acted in thus far? Jamie: The upcoming ferret scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -- it should be good... it will be the best, and it's so funny.
Can you tell us anything about the current filming? What's in, what's out? Jamie: Current filming –
I can't give away too much. The ferret scene, that's one to look out for. The Yule Ball – that scene is in, but I
haven't filmed it yet.
Gossip:
Rumors abound for release date of 'Half-Blood Prince' Source:
Various
According to a tip posted by fan site Godric's Hollow, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
author JK Rowling has signed a release date agreement for the book. But The Leaky Cauldron's contact reports that Rowling
"is still writing the book and once she does hand it in there will need to be plenty of time for editing and marketing before
it goes on sale."
From Godric's Hollow.net :
"According to my Scholastic source (whom I've been warned not to release his name or I will
never receive little tidbits again), Scholastic/Bloomsbury/WB have finally gotten a release date agreement out of J.K. Rowling
for Book Six. Due to contractual reasons, there will unfortunately be no formal announcement regarding this fact until they
are ready to release the date. However, I have been promised that there has already been printing of what material has gone
through the editorial stage. Also, since they have reached an agreement, an announcement is not too far off. Thank you JK!
Big applause!" From The Leaky Cauldron, dismissing an article from the Times Online which mentioned a release date of early next year:
This is not true. As a trusted source has said, all that's definite is that it will possibly
be released next year. JKR is still writing the book (which also puts to rest other rumors that surfaced today about
it already going through editing), and once she does hand it in there will need to be plenty of time for editing and marketing
before it goes on sale. There is no real, supposed, projected or definite publication date yet (as the lack of one on JKRowling.com would seem to suggest).
